If you’re not happy with how the video looks, go back to step 5 and calibrate your display again. It is okay if I use USB-C to HDMI via a dongle. I bought my HD monitor around six years ago, and don't really have the room for anything larger than 24 inches or so.
While some do report 'dim' hdr in game mode on LG TVs, this is something else.
